
Information for New Staff and Contractors
Onboarding for the Non-Operational Rail Corridor
All new staff, contractors and workers must complete an induction program prior to commencing work. For non-operational rail corridors this program consists of:

Register your need to complete the program by email training@nrrc.com.au

Complete the online course Safety Induction - Standard via the Aveling Learning System

Complete the face to face (or via Zoom) induction training (you will be notified of dates when you register)

Read the Safe Work Method Statements related to the non-operational rail corridor and sign and return the acknowledgment form to training@nrrc.com.au

Attend an onsite pre work brief prior to commencing on your first day
In addition, you may be required to hold certain qualifications before commencing work. Your supervisor/infrastructure manager will discuss these requirements with you.
Onboarding for the Operational Rail Corridor
All new staff, contractors and workers must complete the same onboarding process for the non-operational rail corridor as well as hold a minimum of the following qualifications:

An approved Safely Access the Rail Corridor Nationally recognised course

A Construction Industry White Card

Completion of nationally recognised course in Fatigue Management and Participate in Basic Workplace Communication

Hold a minimum of Category 3 Rail Safety Medical

Hold the competencies and skill to perform the tasks being carried out
